Zyg Kania has over 25 years of experience in a Fortune 100 telecommunication company in the area of manufacturing, quality control, field reliability, supplier management, component engineering, contract negotiations/management and compliance and product business management.

• Product management experience which includes; product documentation (technical and non-technical), new software and hardware release management, supply chain management and product financial and forecasting performance reporting.
• Managed and provided contract oversight and compliance for 3rd party OEM suppliers.  Led and supported contract negotiations involving Legal, Supply Chain, Development Engineering and Support organization.
• Implemented a defective material manufacturing database and material quality matrices.  Led a team to drive material improvements through supplier management, manufacturing quality improvements and product re-designs.
• Implemented a division wide field quality metrics with calculations of actual product MTBF rates using field data returns.  Information was used for product availability calculation, determining assumption accuracy of predicting new product design MTBF and sparing modeling.  Resulted published and presented at Reliability & Maintainability Symposium.
• Led and managed the supplier commodity team and drove component level reliability improvements, conducted supplier assessments and technical reviews.
• New product introduction and on going manufacturing technical support which included, process development, manufacturing process documentation, training, DOE, and six sigma initiatives.
