Every company that holds a current ISO 9001:2008 certificate will need to demonstrate that they meet the new requirements of ISO 9001:2015 in order to maintain certification. Companies have until September 2018 to come into compliance, though many Certification Bodies will refuse to issue new certificates to the 2008 version after September 2016.
